Tye was born in the South Bronx, NYC. She grew up in the Andrew Jackson houses, where she resided until she was 13. Tye shares in depth her struggles, striving for stability, and the opportunity to get back on her feet, all after falling on hard times. I've read this book from cover to cover in 1 day. It's that much of a page turner. Tye let's us enter her life from day 1 through trials and tribulations, positive and negative. Perfect example of how you take the good and the bad and make your life grand. Everyday apparently wasn't easy but she's living proof that she is human and still standing. Best book I've read in a very long time. Look forward to more from this young lady!! Great job!Product details

Just after reading a few pages I knew I was going to finish this this book in one day, or I'd be upset. This book is a must read for anyone who can relate to growing up in the inner cities of New York..
This was a great book! Tye told her story so well I felt like I was right with her for those moments that shaped the woman she is today. I couldn't put the book down until I was finished! 👌🏾
